
The Student Entrepreneurship Society: creating a favourable environment and a complementary framework for supporting and developing the entrepreneurial spirit of ASE students through training, consulting, mentoring, networking and organizing competitions of ideas and business plans. Main activities:
- The 6th edition of the GoBiz business idea contest: supporting students wishing to start a business, through training sessions and mentoring, in order to develop a coherent business plan.
- Continuing the project “ROLEmodel – We promote entrepreneurial students” for identifying and supporting students who have their own business, wishing to share their successful stories for inspiring other students to open a business. The Meet & Greet type events were started in which young entrepreneurs, students at ASE Bucharest, are invited to share their entrepreneurial experience with students passionate about entrepreneurship.
- Developing the ASE Entrepreneur community, which brings together students with entrepreneurial initiative from the university. The aim is to develop an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the university to support projects of student associations aimed at contributing to the development of the entrepreneurial spirit among ASE Bucharest students
- Providing mentoring activities for entrepreneurial students through the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp.
- The event “Opportunities for young entrepreneurs – Innovation Labs” provided information about Innovation Labs, the main university program for accelerating tech start-ups in Romania, but also about various opportunities that young people can use to finance their business. CA oct
- Exchange of best practices regarding the activity of encouraging entrepreneurial initiative among students and the development of business incubators, which took place at the “Startup Sauna” entrepreneurship center of the Aalto University in Espoo, Finland and at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands.
814 ASE students enrolled in entrepreneurial training programs, of which 673 students completed the courses and obtained the certificate of entrepreneurial skills. Moreover, 105 ASE students participated in the business plan competitions, and 25 of them obtained non-refundable funding between EUR 40,000 – 100,000 for each established company. The total cumulative value of business plans won by ASE students who obtained funding was over RON 6.8 million. (Details here, p.101)
Faculty of Business Administration in foreign languages organized the first International Entrepreneurship School addressed to students and graduates of higher education (alumni) who want to develop their entrepreneurial skills. It is meant to incubate business ideas with the aid of academics, entrepreneurs and business experts. The intention is to set a benchmark in this area of pre-incubation and mentoring of future entrepreneurs.
Youth entrepreneurship school – project that involves the meeting of numerous entrepreneurs, well known in the business field. During the event, the participants will be face to face with success stories, the most important secrets that need to be known for starting a start-up, including the chance to get funding for their business ideas.
